Where Is the Clean Air? A Bayesian Decision Framework for Personalised Cyclist Route Selection Using R-INLA

چکیده
Exposure to air pollution in the form of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) is known cause diseases and cancers. Consequently, public are increasingly seeking health warnings associated with levels PM2.5 using mobile phone applications websites. Often, these existing platforms provide one-size-fits-all guidance, not incorporating user specific personal preferences. This study demonstrates an innovative approach Bayesian methods support personalised decision making for quality. We present a novel hierarchical spatio-temporal model city quality that includes buildings as barriers captures covariate information. Detailed high resolution data from single sensor used train model, which fit R-INLA facilitate computation at operational timescales. A method eliciting multi-attribute utility individual journeys within then given, providing Bayes-optimal journey support. As proof-of-concept, methodology demonstrated set collected Brisbane centre, Australia.

Bayesian Spatial Modelling with R-INLA
The principles behind the interface to continuous domain spatial models in the RINLA software package for R are described. The Integrated Nested Laplace Approximation (INLA) approach proposed by Rue, Martino, and Chopin (2009) is a computationally effective alternative to MCMC for Bayesian inference. INLA is designed for latent Gaussian models, a very wide and flexible class of models ranging f...
متن کاملWhy Is Clean Air Clean?
Air exhibiting very low concentrations of light-scattering aerosol particles is occasionally observed even in industrialized regions. Evidence is presented that this very clean air results from highly efficient removal of aerosol particles coupled to the removal of water in precipitation.
متن کاملFunctional Brain Response to Emotional Muical Stimuli in Depression, Using INLA Approach for Approximate Bayesian Inference
Introduction: One of the vital skills which has an impact on emotional health and well-being is the regulation of emotions. In recent years, the neural basis of this process has been considered widely. One of the powerful tools for eliciting and regulating emotion is music. The Anterior Cingulate Cortex (ACC) is part of the emotional neural circuitry involved in Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)....
متن کاملFeature Selection for the Naive Bayesian Classifier Using Decision Trees
It is known that Naïve Bayesian classifier (NB) works very well on some domains, and poorly on some. The performance of NB suffers in domains that involve correlated features. C4.5 decision trees, on the other hand, typically perform better than the Naïve Bayesian a lgorithm on such domains. This paper describes a Selective Bayesian classifier (SBC) that simply uses only those features that C4....
متن کاملA Multi-Criteria Decision Making for Location Selection in the Niger Delta Using Fuzzy TOPSIS Approach
Making an informed decision with regards to a suitable business location or site selection for organizations is becoming challenging for business decision makers globally; and even more challenging in business environment that are saddled with uncertainties. The continues raise of multiple criteria variation of site preferences has also necessitated the application of advanced decision making t...
